Natasa Babic (Mary Cassatt) is excited to step back on the stage in The Independents. She is beyond grateful for this opportunity! Natasa is no stranger to the stage. She has performed at the American Theater Of Actors in the play The Sanctuary. She has toured regionally with an original play Love, Life and Redemptions. She has performed at the Richmond Sheppard Theater in the play The Best Party Ever. Natasa also directed and acted in Clifford Odets Rocket To The Moon at the 78th Street Theater. She played a lead role in an indie feature Dark Tarot and was cast in an award winning indie feature Life Is Too Short. She has been profoundly inspired by Mary Cassatt’s character and hopes that you will grow to love her, just as she did. Natasa would like to thank her husband for all the love and support! Christopher Ward (Writer/Director) work as writer/director has been seen on HBO, Netflix, Showtime, Amazon, MTV, CBS, PBS, and CNBC. Ward has received many accolades, including two EMMY awards, three New York Film Festival awards, and five Cable ACE nominations. He was a staff writer/director for many years at Showtime Networks. Working as an independent filmmaker, Ward wrote and directed "Outwitting Hitler", the critically acclaimed holocaust documentary. His first independent feature, Person of Interest, which he wrote and directed, is being distributed by Ariztical Entertainment. His second independent feature, Fog Warning, which he also wrote and directed, was self distributed on iTunes. Ward was a consulting producer on the 2014 award-winning HBO film The Loving Story. He researched and wrote the screen story for the 2011 feature From the Rough, which starred Taraji P. Henson (Empire) and Thomas Felton (Harry Potter). His theatre credits include Mrs. President, a one act play about the first woman President, which was accepted and produced by Manhattan Rep Theatre as part of their 2019 Summer Shorts Festival. This fall, The Independents, his play about the artists Mary Cassatt and Edgar Degas, will have a New York premiere Off-Broadway at The Theater Center. Ward also teaches and lectures at NYU, NYIT, and the New York Film Academy.

Holden Gunster (Set Designer) is an NYC-based Scenic Designer. Some of his recent and upcoming design credits include the Forgiveness (E 4th St Theater), Urinetown (Random Farms Kids Theater), Paper Towels (INTAR Theater), The Revolutionists (Binghamton University), and The Burial at Thebes (Binghamton University). Matthew Sells (Lighting Designer) is the Assistant Technical Director at Theatre Row, as well as the Lighting Director at Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, NJ). He served as Production Manager/Lighting Designer of Exclamation Dance Company (2011-2016). Stage Management credits include: Broadway and The Bard w/ Len Cariou (Summer ’19). Lighting Design credits include: Miss Julie, Hairspray (Lonestar College – TX), Tarzan (Don Bosco – NJ). In his spare time, he likes to record music and work on creative projects with his wife.

Cassie Holzum (Stage Manager) is a graduate from the Educational Theatre Program at New York University. She is a freelance stage manager and drama educator throughout New York City. Credits include Her Opponent (Jerry Orbachh), Radium Girls (NYU), The Two Noble Kinsmen (NYU), Peter and the Starcatcher (NYU), and Into the Woods (Wingspan Arts). Cassie is very excited to be back in the Jerry Orbach Theatre working on this show with these amazing artists!
